Job Description

The Corporate Capital & Treasury Team has responsibility for the group treasury function at Sun Life Financial. Under the leadership of the Treasurer and Head of Capital Planning, the team manages group capital, cash management, rating agency relationships and corporate finance activities.

Reporting to the Manager, Treasury Controls & Reporting, the Treasury Analyst is part of a team that performs the treasury controls and reporting function. With emphasis on leading change through continuous process improvement activities and implementing best in class controls and reporting of operational cash.

This position includes interactions with all levels of organization and external partners (banks, vendors, auditors etc.).

Qualifications

• 4th year student enrolled in an undergraduate degree
• Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v look up)
• Strong knowledge offinancial reporting and internal controls
• Familiarity with complex financial concepts
• Ability to lead change management with banking processes, stakeholders, and technology

Responsibilities

• Completing treasury accounting and reporting activities for North America Treasury Operations.
• Completing control activities, including reconciliations for bank and control accounts.
• Reviewing daily reports, identifying and investigating errors, and working with Business Units, banks, and/or IT support to resolve any issues.
• Maintaining Corporate reconciliation standards and account documentation.
• Supporting the audit processes including providing audit support and meeting with the auditors as requested.
• Working closely with Corporate Treasury, IT support and other Business Groups to implement global Treasury applications, specifically the bank reconciliation application (Frontier).

Compensation

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
