About the Role
We are seeking skilled Spanish‑fluent Student Materials Writers to create engaging, accurate, and instructionally sound student‑facing materials in Spanish for K–12 curriculum projects. This role requires exceptional fluency in Spanish, strong writing skills, familiarity with K–12 education, and experience designing simple instructional artifacts such as graphic organizers, worksheets, and practice resources. Ideal candidates have experience producing educational materials for print or digital formats and are comfortable using AI tools as part of their workflow. This is a hands‑on content development role with fast‑paced timelines and ongoing revision cycles based on internal and client feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Write and design Spanish‑language student‑facing materials, including:
- Graphic organizers
- Retrieval cards
- Activity Sheets
- Practice pages
- Simple visual supports
- Other instructional artifacts aligned to lesson objectives
- Translate instructional intentions into clear, accurate, age‑appropriate Spanish‑language resources.
Design & Layout
- Produce clean, well‑structured layouts using basic design skills (no advanced tools like InDesign required).
- Apply existing templates, style and branding guidelines, and formatting standards consistently.
- Organize visual and written content to support comprehension and usability for Spanish‑speaking students.
Revision & Quality Improvement
- Revise materials based on internal editorial guidance and client feedback.
- Ensure linguistic accuracy, clarity, cultural relevance, and alignment to curriculum goals.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently while adhering to project timelines.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work with writers, editors, designers, and curriculum specialists to ensure Spanish-language materials fit seamlessly within the larger instructional design structure.
- Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate drafting while maintaining high‑quality human review.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Exceptional fluency in Spanish, including strong command of grammar, clarity, and instructional tone.
- Strong proficiency in English for collaboration and internal communication.
- Experience creating educational instructional materials—ideally student‑facing resources.
- Basic design capabilities (e.g., simple layouts, organizing content visually, using templates).
- Strong written communication skills and ability to write for K–12 Spanish‑speaking audiences.
