Position: UI/UX Front-End Engineer (TS/SCI cleared)
Salary: $87,100 – $157,450
Location: Bethesda, MD (Onsite/Hybrid)

Sunayu, LLC is seeking a skilled front‑end engineer to develop high‑quality web applications for a DoD program. Work is primarily on‑site with a flexible schedule and occasional remote work, depending on client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using ReactJS or Angular frameworks.
• Code, test, and debug new and existing web applications.
• Implement and refine user interfaces.
• Conduct thorough unit testing via automated tooling.
• Collaborate with end users, analysts, software and data engineers, and data scientists to ensure optimal performance and usability.
• Peer‑review code written by fellow team members.
• Utilize virtualization technologies such as Docker and Podman.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific/technical discipline.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with modern front‑end libraries (ReactJS and/or Angular).
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of HTTP web requests for fetching JSON data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to write well‑documented code.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Genuine passion for creating great user experiences.
• Experience writing front‑end unit tests.
• Experience writing back‑end web API services.
• Proficiency in other languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with NoSQL datastores (e.g., Elasticsearch).
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
• Up‑to‑date with emerging front‑end technologies.
