Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist GS-2210-15 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provides authoritative guidance related to agency information technology security program. • Plans for information technology security system protections that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and prevent threats against agency IT systems. • Provides direction and oversight of long-term cybersecurity projects in a wide range of IT cybersecurity management activities across the agency.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Supervisory Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist, at GS-2210-15, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.

Basic Qualifications (2210 Series)

• Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail. • Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. • Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. • Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

AND

Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-15 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties:

• Provides direction and oversight over network monitoring, threat intelligence, and cybersecurity investigation services. • Manages current information technology budgets. AND • Oversees a staff of information technology specialists.

Education
