This internship offers hands‑on experience building and deploying quantitative models that directly inform executive‑level supply chain decisions. Working alongside the Supply Chain Excellence team, you will contribute to demand forecasting pipelines, econometric scenario analyses, and data integration projects that connect enterprise ERP systems with advanced modeling frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and refinement of statistical demand forecasting models for commercial roofing product groups.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that extract, transform, and load sales and macroeconomic data from SAP HANA and external sources (e.g., FRED API, proprietary indicators).
  • Prepare data visualizations and executive summaries to communicate model outputs and insights to finance and operations leadership.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and finance stakeholders to validate model assumptions and address data quality issues.
  • Participate in team meetings, sprint reviews, and present findings to cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
    • Industrial Engineering or Operations Research
    • Computer Science or Data Science
    • Supply Chain Management or Business Analytics
    • MBA with quantitative concentration (Operations, Analytics, or Strategy)

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with SQL for querying relational databases and performing data transformations.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate quantitative results to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data integration platforms such as SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) or SAP HANA.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, and query optimization against columnar databases.
  • Experience with inflation adjustment techniques and macroeconomic indicator integration (e.g., PPI deflators, FRED API).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC, in a manufacturing or distribution context.
  • Prior internship or project experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations analytics.
