What will you do?
As a Supply Chain Engineer, you and your team will work on optimizing Sligro's supply chain network in the Netherlands and Belgium. The focus is on setting up the network as efficiently as possible, with attention to costs, capacity, and service level. You will analyze data, translate insights into concrete improvements, and advise stakeholders within and outside the organization. One day you will work on the integration of a new major customer, the next day you will contribute to the setup of a new warehouse. This variety makes your work challenging and educational.
What are your responsibilities?
- You are responsible for customer integrations and the reorganization of existing customers within the network.
- You develop and use data models to gain insight into performance, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Based on analyses, you actively propose improvements that contribute to lower costs and a higher service level.
- You communicate daily with stakeholders at different levels and connect data to clear project goals.
- You measure success by achievable implementations, reliable analyses, and concrete improvements in the network.

What do you bring?
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree background and several years of experience in a complex supply chain or logistics environment.
- Improving and innovating processes comes naturally to you, and you know how to involve colleagues in this.
- You communicate easily, whether you are liaising with analysts, managers, or external parties.
- You work in a structured manner, think analytically, and are comfortable in a role with responsibility.
- Experience with Excel, Access, and Power BI helps you translate data into clear insights that make a real impact.
