Lokad helps companies in various sectors (aerospace, fashion, automotive, e-commerce...) to forecast and make decisions regarding their inventory. The majority of our clients are based outside of France, mainly in North America and Europe.

Your Role

As a Data Analyst (Supply Chain Scientist in Lokad terminology), your role is to ensure that our clients get the most out of our technology. This is a role that bridges technology (Differentiable Programming, descended from Deep Learning), data manipulation, and supply chain business knowledge. You will tackle complex supply chain issues and develop quantitative strategies. You will not just advise your clients on strategies (in both English and French), but you will execute them daily, striving to make the best use of all available data. Your goal will also be to continue refining these strategies over time, to align them with your clients' needs.

At Lokad, you will benefit from in-depth training and coaching from our team of experts. You will acquire skills in supply chain, predictive analytics, and, generally, quantitative optimization for businesses. You will learn how to achieve measurable results based on scientific data analysis.

Approximately a quarter of your time will be dedicated to client interaction to better understand their business. This interaction is primarily remote (via email, phone, video conference), with occasional travel. For efficiency reasons and to best benefit from the experience of your colleagues and internal training, you will not be working within the client's team and premises.

The rest of your time will be dedicated to data analysis, including data manipulation and cleaning, forecasting, economic optimization, and reporting. You will benefit from Lokad's Differentiable Programming tools and a DSL (Envision) for this purpose.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and qualities:

• A strong engineering background: we typically recruit from top engineering schools.
• A pronounced interest in data and quantitative analysis in general.
• Good Excel skills or familiarity with programming languages, whatever they may be, particularly Python.
• Perfect command of French and English.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A sharp mind, rather than just a lot of knowledge. We are not looking for someone who is already an expert in supply chain or programming. We are looking for someone capable of learning quickly and understanding technology and business concepts rapidly, as the solution offered by Lokad is by no means a simple, ready-to-use product. Knowledge of supply chain is an advantage, but what we are looking for above all is the ability to quickly evaluate and grasp a new situation or to get a clear idea of a company's operations and needs.

Location

The position is primarily based at our head office, although occasional travel for client meetings or events may be necessary. Our offices are located in the heart of Paris (directly opposite Chevaleret station, at 83-85 boulevard Vincent Auriol).
