Systems Engineer (Hybrid Infrastructure)

The Opportunity

We’re partnered with a globally recognized organization operating at the center of digital transformation, cloud standards, and open source innovation. They work directly with some of the largest cloud providers in the world and are actively modernizing their internal infrastructure to match that scale.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll sit close to leadership and help evolve a hybrid environment spanning datacenter infrastructure and cloud. It is ideal for someone who has strong foundations in traditional systems engineering and wants to deepen their exposure to modern cloud and DevOps environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own and maintain hybrid infrastructure across on prem datacenters and cloud environments
• Manage Linux based systems, virtualization, storage, and networking
• Administer VMWare environments and support firewall and network configurations
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive performance improvements
• Support and implement hybrid cloud architecture and modernization efforts
• Work with GitLab and DevOps tooling to support CI/CD workflows
• Build automation through scripting to improve efficiency
• Partner closely with the CTO and engineering teams on strategic infrastructure initiatives

What They’re Looking For

• Strong Linux systems administration and scripting experience (bash, python, or similar)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise infrastructure
• Experience with virtualization platforms like VMWare
• Hands on experience managing production environments
• Exposure or interest in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Curiosity and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
• Comfortable working cross functionally in a global, distributed environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with RHEL environments
• GitLab administration and CI/CD pipeline exposure
• Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Web servers such as Apache or Nginx
• Exposure to SaaS systems and cloud native applications
