System Engineer

To complement our Engineering team, we are looking for a responsible, technically adept individual with an interest in modern IT, a clear understanding of systems, and the willingness to proactively manage and develop customer infrastructures.

Your Role

As a System Engineer, you will work on real customer environments – not in a lab.

You will migrate servers, plan Microsoft 365 and Azure transitions, set up networks, and ensure systems are running. You will work directly with decision-makers, make technical decisions independently, and be responsible for stable results.

If you bring practical project experience and the necessary technical depth, you can expect an environment where initiative and commitment count more than hierarchy.

Your Tasks

• Planning and implementation of Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations (Exchange, Fileserver, Infrastructure)
• Performing server and data migrations from on-premise to cloud or hybrid environments
• Setting up and managing Azure networks, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and security policies
• Analyzing and resolving technical problems in 2nd / 3rd level support
• Preparing and documenting customer environments, including operational documentation
• Close collaboration with Engineering, Network, and Operations teams on projects
• Contributing to concepts for rollouts, standardization, and automation
• Participating in internal projects for standardization and further development of communication and cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship in IT (EFZ or equivalent) or demonstrable qualification
• 3 – 7 years of professional experience in System Engineering or IT Infrastructure
• Practical experience in migrations of servers, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments
• Good knowledge in: Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint Online, Windows Server, Active Directory, Fileserver / GPOs, Networks (Routing, VPN, VLAN, Firewalls), Veeam Backup or comparable backup solutions
• Certifications AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) and AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer)
• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working
• Very good German language skills (written and spoken), good English language skills
• Driver's license category B
