Your Responsibilities

• Conception, development, and implementation of IT applications and software components in Python using Docker with automated tests
• Implementation of high-performance REST API and database queries (PostgreSQL)
• Independent creation, documentation, and testing of software applications, as well as adaptation of existing software to operational requirements
• Testing and handover of work results to colleagues
• Monitoring of realization and completion deadlines, ongoing status communication to product management
• Independent processing of technical sub-tasks: clarification of issues, solution finding, architectural decisions
• Support in day-to-day business with fault reports from our customers
• Use of AI tools to increase quality and implementation speed

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
• Very good knowledge of Python (optional Django)
• Practical experience with REST APIs, Docker, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with automated tests (unit, integration, and API tests)
• Experience in designing and optimizing high-performance database queries
• Structured, independent way of working and a strong sense of quality
• German or English language skills at C1 level

Desirable:

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude)
• Experience in code reviews and mentoring junior developers
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes
