As a System Engineer Battery Power Electronics (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of power electronics in our battery systems. You will ensure that components such as inverters, DC/DC converters, and power supplies are optimally integrated into the overall system and meet the requirements in terms of performance, efficiency, and safety.
Responsibilities
- System design and specification of power electronic components (inverter, DC/DC converter, power supply) for battery systems
- Definition of requirements and interfaces between battery, BMS and power electronics
- Responsibility for the integration of power electronics into the overall system, considering efficiency, thermal behavior and system performance
- Close collaboration and technical coordination of hardware, software and system teams for the implementation of the system architecture
- Definition and support of verification and validation activities for power electronic components
- Analysis of errors and performance deviations as well as derivation of optimization measures
- Consideration and implementation of requirements related to grid connection (e.g. Grid Codes, grid integration, compliance)
Requirements
- Completed engineering studies (e.g. electrical engineering, energy technology, power electronics) or comparable qualification
- Experience in the field of power electronics, especially with inverter and/or DC/DC systems
- Good understanding of electrical systems, switching concepts and control strategies
- Experience in the design and integration of power electronic components
- Knowledge in thermal design and efficiency optimization
- Ideally experience in the context of battery systems or energy systems
- Structured and analytical way of working as well as good system understanding
- High communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
