About the role
About Us
Did you know? We are among the largest German e-commerce companies and are looking for reinforcements in Würzburg.
Digital manufacturing processes, e-commerce, sophisticated IT landscapes, and an agile mindset - We are more than just a cool print and marketing partner for SMEs.
Activities
We are looking for you in the IT Infrastructure & Services department! Here, everything revolves around the operational implementation of the FLYERALARM IT strategy - from services for the digital workplace to AI in the cloud. Together, we develop the right solutions for our company. Agile methods, short distances, and great team spirit particularly characterize us.

Your view does not stop at the data center edge: You will also design and operate cloud networking on AWS, e.g., VPC design, hybrid connectivity (Site-to-Site / Client VPN), routing concepts, segmentation, and the secure integration of cloud workloads into our existing infrastructure.
Additionally, you will manage our virtualized platform on Nutanix, integrate new infrastructure and cloud services, and support incident, problem, and change processes. Through clean documentation as well as monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning, you ensure transparency and stability in operations.
You will actively participate in projects related to cloud migration, network security, infrastructure modernization, and automation, contributing your ideas. You will cooperate closely with colleagues from various departments - pragmatically, solution-oriented, and with a joy for good teamwork.
Requirements
- You have completed training as a specialist in system integration (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification.
- You have sound knowledge in network administration (firewall, routing, WLAN, ...).
- You have experience with virtualization technologies and infrastructure technologies (e.g., HCI).
- You have solid know-how in data center operations.
- You have initial practical experience with cloud technologies, ideally with AWS.
- You already have professional experience in IT infrastructure and network and feel comfortable in modern system landscapes.
- You enjoy working in a team, share your knowledge, and value open exchange.
- Above all, your willingness to learn new topics and develop solutions together with the team is important to us.
- A driver's license class B is desirable.
Team
- Our IT department consists of various teams with different focuses.
- Developing high-quality software, including the associated software architecture, is a major concern for us.

Pioneers in Environmental Issues
Paper-optimized collective print run and CO₂-compensated printing
Since our company was founded in 2002, we have used the collective print run method: the space-saving arrangement of as many print jobs as possible on one printing plate ensures less paper waste and enables much more efficient production with up to 70 percent lower CO₂ emissions compared to conventional job printing. FLYERALARM has perfected the collective print run method for industrial production, revolutionizing the printing industry from the outset.
Since May 2010, we have also offered the option of CO₂-compensated printing. The complex calculation method was developed together with the State Association of Printing & Media Bavaria and audited by the Federal Association of Printing & Media.
