Job Description
As a System Engineer in Technology Development, you work hands-on with our high-tech systems, drive innovation and integrate new system solutions. You test prototypes, specify components and support internal teams and customers with technical expertise. With your proactive mindset and technical know-how, you play a key role in shaping the next generation of our equipment.
What you will be doing
- Drive innovation: you support research, develop new hardware and software concepts and test solutions together with Engineering
- Specify system components: you select, define and specify system components, subsystems and assemblies
- Test prototypes & integrate systems: you perform tests on equipment and prototypes independently and proactively drive system integration
- Own technical documentation: you create system specifications, mandatory reports and maintain technical system documentation
- Work close to customers: you support Product Management, Service, Customer Support and Application — occasionally also on-site — and deliver technical trainings
What you should bring
- Technical education: you hold a degree (HF, HTL, FH, ETH) in electrical engineering or microtechnology, or you have at least 3 years of experience in vacuum technology
- Thin-film expertise & analytical thinking: you are familiar with thin-film technology and apply systematic analysis to make data-based decisions
- Hands-on mindset & willingness to learn: you have a strong hands-on mindset, actively explore new possibilities and pursue your goals with commitment; you are confident working with new technologies and adapt flexibly to changing projects and requirements
- Team spirit & clear communication: you value close collaboration, transparent communication and a direct working style
- Language & travel readiness: you communicate fluently in German and English and are willing to travel approx. 10%
