Your Role
For our Omnichannel business unit in the Omnichannel, Portal and API Enabler Tribe, we are looking for you to join us full-time as a System Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) in Karlsruhe or Aschheim. Your role is assigned to the Site Reliability Engineering Chapter/Squad. Here you will work across locations and with diverse interfaces with your colleagues.
Please note: Shift and on-call duty are required for this role.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the introduction of SRE/DevOps practices and for advising development teams.
- You ensure system stability through observability, monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace), and capacity planning.
- You resolve incidents with subsequent root cause analyses and are responsible for 2nd/3rd level support.
- You work with the team on optimizing and further developing operational processes and automations using various scripting languages and tools, as well as on developing ideas and solutions for further increasing customer satisfaction and the availability of our services.
- You support security and compliance topics as well as the implementation of best practices.
Requirements
- You have a completed degree in computer science and several years of relevant professional experience or a comparable qualification.
- You possess knowledge in automation and performance optimization, as well as in stabilizing and scaling critical production services.
- You bring practical experience with SRE/DevOps methods, monitoring tools, and cloud technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), as well as knowledge of scripting/programming languages (Bash, Perl, Python, Go, Node.js) and GIT.
- You have experience with SRE, SLIs, SLOs, Error Budget, Toil Reduction, as well as agile software development.
- You are characterized by your strong teamwork skills, analytical thinking, communication skills, and your independent way of working and initiative.
