About

The Boeing Attack Program is seeking a dynamic System Safety Engineering Manager (Systems Engineering Management) to manage the Product Integrity / Mission Assurance Team in Mesa, AZ. This individual will be responsible for leading System Safety Engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services.
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of System Safety
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Work Authorization

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Mesa, AZ. Some travel maybe required as business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functionalproject/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience performing systems engineering activities in full systems engineering lifecycle
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)

  • Experience with Avionics and/or System Safety
  • Experience with flight avionics design
  • Experience with the concepts of Model Based Engineering, Digital Thread, and Digital System Modeling
