About

Adoption Coaches (48-hour work week) that will provide At-the-Elbow (ATE) support over a minimum of a 2-week period for each Go Live. They will be required to be scheduled evenings, weekends, and nights.

There will be (2) 4 hours days of initial unpaid training and then Adoption Coaches will be scheduled for 12-hour shifts on a rotational basis. These coaches will be embedded directly into clinical and administrative areas, offering real-time assistance with system navigation, workflow optimization, and troubleshooting. By maintaining a visible on-site presence, the coaches will minimize disruptions to patient care, increase end-user confidence, and ensure rapid adoption of the new processes introduced by the OPOR CIS.

Project Overview

Project is apart of of Canada's largest healthcare transformation initiatives aimed at improving patient care across the province. This project is part of the government’s Action for Health plan and is considered a legacy project that will standardize healthcare experiences affecting 42 hospitals and 1500 ambulatory care clinics. OPOR is designed to provide healthcare professionals with efficient, real-time access to complete and up-to-date patient information.

Technology

The project involves replacing or integrating over 80 outdated systems with a new clinical information system (Cerner Millenium).

Shift Logistics

  • This includes day and night coverage, depending on site and clinical area
  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 80-144 hours in the 2 weeks.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts is important during the go-live window.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with acute care clinical workflows (Nursing, Provider support, Pharmacy, Lab, Diagnostic Imaging)
  • Comfort providing fast, in the moment coaching in busy clinical environments
  • Clear communication skills and a calm, professional approach under pressure
  • Valid driver's license to get between sites
  • Working cellphone and laptop for training, scheduling, and connectivity

Pluses

  • Hands on experience supporting Oracle Health Cerner during go-lives or hyper care preferred

Contract Details

  • Type: minimum 2 weeks contracts + extensions - need 2 week training commitment for their go-lives' across multiple hospitals
  • Location: Nova Scotia / Travel required across nova scotia
  • Fly into Halifax: (2 days of MANDATORY, in- person 4-hour training (unpaid)
  • Training location: Bedford, NS
  • Start ASAP:
  • Rate: "All encompassing cost" ranging between 40-90/hr CAD
