Senior, hands-on Solutions Architect

About

Senior, hands-on Solutions Architect role supporting classified identity and access management (IdAM/ICAM) systems. Acts as the primary technical authority at the project level, translating high-level requirements into detailed, implementation-ready architectures while guiding engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day architectural decisions and support development teams
• Design detailed system architectures, specs, and integration patterns
• Bridge business requirements to technical execution
• Oversee DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containerization)
• Ensure secure handling of classified data (encryption, compartmentalization)
• Support authorization models (ABAC), authentication, and policy management
• Participate in design reviews and communicate with stakeholders
• Maintain architecture documentation and align with portfolio strategy

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years experience (MS preferred) in systems/software architecture
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
• Strong background in secure, mission-critical systems
• Expertise in APIs, REST services, and enterprise IdAM/ICAM (LDAP, STS, etc.)
• Knowledge of A&A / RMF and secure system accreditation
• Experience with DevOps, cloud, and containerized environments
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

• AWS experience/certification
• Experience in IC/DoD environments
• BPM tools, cybersecurity technologies, and enterprise architecture exposure
