This is a position for a candidate who would like to develop a career as an ICT consultant to the lodging, hospitality and realty industries for a leading ERP software solutions provider. Primary Responsibilities
- Receive incoming support requests and resolve issues
- Consult with clients to advise on application of CiMSO software solutions
- Perform on-site deployment of new systems or upgrades (project management)
- Train users in the use and application of the software
- Participate at expo’s as and when required
- Actively and continuous learning CiMSO Software Suite of products
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and results as needed
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist answering & fielding incoming phone calls, receiving, prioritizing and delivering messages
- Provide general office services and administrative processes
Required Skills
- Strong, professional verbal & written communications skills in English & Afrikaans
- Computer skills, using Microsoft Windows, Office & Internet
- Effective prioritization, organizational & problem-solving skills
- Accurate with figures and attention to detail
- A thorough understanding of the lodging and hospitality industry and accounting systems
Mobility Requirements
- Travel to other cities and, eventually, other countries (A valid passport is required)
- Be away from home for several weeks at a time
- Have a valid driver’s licence
- Typically, office-hours, with occasional after-hours work required
Educational and experience requirements
- O-Levels / Matric / Grade 12
- Hospitality related qualification essential
- Experience in the Hotel and Lodging Industry
Environmental Factors
- Warm and friendly working environment
- Occasional long hours using computer and telephone
- Operating in a busy, open area office with interruptions and meetings. (Please note that is an office-based position, offices located in Somerset West.)
Other Requirements
- Applicants must have a valid driver’s licence and be able to communicate confidently in both Afrikaans and English.
Contract & Renumeration
Candidates would be appointed as independent contractors with a 1-year contract renewable in March of each year.
Contractors are paid an hourly rate and renumeration is negotiable commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
A year-end bonus is paid, based on the performance of the company.
The standard workday (weekdays) is 9 hours with a 1-hour lunch break. Overtime is paid as and when required.
