We are looking for...

A Systems Engineer who works under general supervision and collaborates with system engineers, developers, and support teams to ensure reliable software deployment, system performance, and operational stability.

Skills And requirements

Software Installation & Deployment

• Install, configure, and maintain company software products in development, testing, and production environments.
• Support software development, testing, and implementation processes.
• Participate in development and testing of installation procedures and deployment schemes.
• Perform software installations at client sites when required.
• Apply patches, hotfixes, and software updates, and perform production cutovers.
• Assist in new environment creation and configuration.

System Administration & Operations

• Provide operational support for system installations including troubleshooting, system performance, and security.
• Monitor system health and performance across development and testing environments.
• Maintain and administer system environments used for testing and validation.
• Perform proactive system monitoring and basic capacity management.
• Assist with backup, recovery, and system restoration procedures.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Detect, analyze, and report software installation and configuration issues.
• Troubleshoot operating system, application, and network-related issues.
• Support basic network configuration and diagnostics.
• Work with development teams to resolve software deployment issues.

Platform & Infrastructure Support

• Administer and support UNIX/Linux based systems.
• Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting for application middleware and infrastructure components such as:
  • WebLogic
  • CORBA
  • Citrix application publishing
• Support database environments including basic Oracle database concepts.
• Assist with basic disaster recovery procedures and failover testing.

Security, Compliance & Quality

• Follow company security policies and information protection standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and personal data.
• Assist in interpreting vulnerability scans and implementing basic UNIX security controls.
• Follow all approved procedures, quality assurance processes, and operational guidelines.
• Comply with applicable regulatory standards including HIPAA, FDA, and MDSAP where applicable.

Continuous Learning & Improvement

• Stay up to date with new technologies and platform updates.
• Complete assigned technical training and certification paths.
• Contribute to improvements in deployment processes and operational procedures.
• Participate in documentation development and knowledge sharing.

Nice-to-have

Infrastructure & Platform Knowledge

Basic familiarity with:

• Oracle databases
• Backup and recovery concepts
• System monitoring tools
• Disaster recovery and failover processes
• Basic network troubleshooting
• Virtualized or cloud environments (Oracle Cloud knowledge is a plus)

Application Infrastructure

Basic configuration knowledge of:

• WebLogic
• CORBA
• Citrix application publishing
