Salary: $240,000 - $350,000 + meaningful equity

• Ownership of core cloud infrastructure end-to-end
• Expert-level distributed systems, storage, networking, and containerisation (Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in both Python and TypeScript

• Experience at a developer tools or infrastructure‑as‑a‑product company (e.g. Pulumi, DigitalOcean, HashiCorp)

This is greenfield infrastructure work at the architecture level. You won't be maintaining legacy systems – you'll be building the foundation from scratch.

ℹ️ Very Important Notes

• This is a deep infrastructure role – not suitable for frontend‑heavy or product‑only engineers
• You must be comfortable owning systems design with no hand‑holding
• Occasional customer‑facing work required – you'll help translate real‑world usage into platform decisions
• High autonomy expected – you design, build, operate, and iterate

Must-Haves

• Expert knowledge of distributed systems, storage/databases, networking, and containerisation
• Deep Kubernetes experience in production environments
• Strong Python and TypeScript across backend and full‑stack contexts
• Proven track record of owning infra in a VC‑backed or high‑growth startup
• Ability to make critical architectural decisions independently
• Infrastructure‑as‑code experience (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
• Self‑driven, high‑agency, and comfortable with ambiguity

Bonus Experience

• Prior experience at developer‑focused infra companies (Pulumi, DigitalOcean, HashiCorp, etc.)
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for distributed systems
• Platform‑level feature development for end‑users
• Technical founder or early founding engineer background

What You'll Be Doing

Infrastructure Ownership

• Take full ownership of core cloud infrastructure from design through deployment and maintenance
• Build and manage distributed systems, storage, networking, and containerisation layers
• Make architectural decisions that will power the platform at scale

Platform Engineering

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable delivery
• Build platform‑level features that end‑users interact with directly
• Ensure infrastructure directly translates into a seamless consumer product experience

Collaboration

• Partner closely with product engineers to bridge infra and product
• Feed operational insight back into architecture and roadmap decisions
• Contribute to a flat, high‑ownership team moving at serious speed
