Role Designation

  • SYSTEMS ENGINEER - Level II
  • IT Security Designation: ADP/IT-II
  • Investigation Required: Tier 3 (T3)
  • IA Technical/Management Designation: IAT II and CE
  • Commercial (Baseline) Certificates: IAT II: Please see Section 0 Commercial Certificates for DoD 8570.01-M certificate requirement, CE: Professional (or expert) level certificate for supported technology as approved by the COR.

Qualifications

  • Microsoft MSCE-level certification preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency with server operations to include blade architectures, virtualization technologies, Active Directory management, Group Policy, application support, and storage solutions.
  • Degree/Education: Bachelors' Degree and/or

Functional Responsibility

  • Design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing infrastructure platforms in accordance to the organization's business requirements.
  • Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of infrastructure platforms.
  • Coordinate changes such as implementation of new infrastructure platforms, upgrades or version increments to existing platforms with system administrators and stakeholders.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard infrastructure platforms.
  • Performs infrastructure platform modeling, analysis, and planning.
  • Coordinates with architecture and evaluate new and emerging infrastructure platform technologies and make recommendations for selection of these products.
  • Assists system administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assists in troubleshooting efforts.
  • May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed infrastructure platforms in lab or production environments.
  • Applies fundamental engineering concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects.

Centralizes mobile device management and maintenance, combining security and management solutions for devices, applications, data, and content by:

(a) Enabling IT to track and manage wireless devices (b) Improving security, integration, and mobile application adoption (c) Securely managing mobile devices and platforms (d) Increasing access to data, applications, and services

OTHER SILLS, TASKS AND RESPONSIBLITIES THE CONTRACT EMPLOYEE SHALL PERFORM BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Supports disaster recovery and COOP plans, systems, and operations
  • Experience in areas such as AD, SCOM, MECM, IIS, SQL, DSUW, Remedy ITSM, M3, Exchange, Linux, Unix, and patch management..
  • Ability to support after hours downtime and
  • Documentation creation/review
  • Oncall support rotation
  • Demonstrates ability to configure, test, implement and maintain a networked system server environment or application along with ability to support administers and users utilizing the environment or application.
  • Demonstrates ability to configure, test, implement and maintain an enterprise level endpoint management solution with ability to support administrators and users utilizing the environment or
  • Ability to evaluate and resolve system, servers, virtualization, storage, and processing
  • Ability to configure and implement system, servers, virtualization, and storage architecture
  • Ability to evaluate performance using hardware and software diagnostic
  • Assist with the designing, planning and installation of new systems, servers, virtualization, storage, and hardware.
  • Work with Information Assurance engineers to ensure all systems and servers meet DoD RMF
  • Experience with deploying & hardening Windows Server 2016, Server 2019, and Server 2022
  • Experience in areas such as AD, SCOM, MECM, IIS, SQL, DSUW, Remedy ITSM, M3, Exchange, Linux, Unix, and patch management.
  • Works collaboratively with Cybersecurity team to ensure the following: Maintenance of baseline system security according to organizational policies, cyber threats and vulnerabilities are mitigated, and information technology (IT) security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, and encryption) are adhered to.
