Trumpf Inc

About the role

As a family-run, high-tech company with nearly 19,000 employees at 71 locations worldwide, we are looking for forward thinkers with unconventional ideas and drive to join our team. Our company culture, which values collaboration and mutual trust, creates the ideal framework for boldly trying new things and questioning the status quo. Our technologies inspire people to develop and produce things that are currently unimaginable. Whether lasers, machine tools, EUV or electronics - TRUMPF is building technological worlds for future generations. Are you ready for new challenges?

TRUMPF Hüttinger is a world-leading manufacturer of DC, medium-frequency, high-frequency, and semiconductor-based solid-state microwave generators as a high-tech company. We bring electricity to the required frequency and power. Our technologies are hidden in many areas of everyday life and you encounter them more often than you think: for example, in smartphones, on glass facades, in solar and PV systems, or in microchips for the computer and communications industry.

Your New Task

  • As a connecting element between embedded software, firmware, electronics, testing, and product management, you will moderate cross-departmental communication and coordinate alignments, reviews, and technical clarifications. Proactive escalation and risk management will ensure smooth collaboration across all departmental boundaries.
  • You will be holistically responsible for the development of system architectures, from signal chains and communication paths to state machines and safety concepts. You will transparently weigh architectural alternatives regarding performance, EMC, safety, reliability, and testability.
  • You will plan and support integration phases from the component to the system level, including conducting and supporting integration tests.
  • You will systematically analyze error scenarios in the interplay of hardware and software, for example, in signal paths, timing, protocols, and start-up and shutdown behavior. You will structurally derive the root cause analysis in close coordination with the involved teams.
  • You will continuously establish and further develop best practices and processes for HW-SW integration, while keeping the interface and system documentation up-to-date. You will also participate in deriving and maintaining system and software requirements in close cooperation with product management and development.

What Excites Us About You

  • A completed degree in electrical engineering, technical computer science, mechatronics, physics, or a comparable field forms your academic basis.
  • You have already successfully contributed relevant professional experience with embedded systems, ideally in the power electronics environment. Interdisciplinary collaboration across disciplines is a matter of course for you.
  • You bring a sound understanding of embedded hardware, embedded software, and typical communication interfaces and protocols. Furthermore, you have practical experience in at least two of the following areas: system or software architecture in the embedded environment, signal and system analysis, control engineering or power electronics, or high-precision current and voltage sources, integration and test strategy for embedded systems.
  • With strong communication and moderation skills, you succeed in preparing complex technical issues in an audience-appropriate manner. An analytical, structured way of working and the willingness to take responsibility for system decisions complete your profile.
  • Good German and English skills, both written and spoken, enable you to communicate confidently in an interdisciplinary and international environment.

What We Offer You

  • Appreciative work environment in a family company where diversity and equal opportunities are paramount.
  • Independent and structured work where you can contribute your ideas, make decisions independently, and actively shape processes.
  • Extensive training and further education offers that provide you with individual development opportunities and specifically promote your professional and personal skills.
  • Attractive additional benefits for your health and mobility, including Hansefit for your fitness and Business Bike for sustainable and flexible transportation.
  • Respectful and appreciative corporate culture where your commitment is recognized and you can develop your full potential in a motivating work environment.
