Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineering Manager to join the Responsive Flight Solutions (RFS) Demos team within IGNITE, initially supporting the Lynx program.

The RFS Demos team has a portfolio of on-orbit technology/mission demonstration programs. The RFS Demos group is structured to have an execution-focused SEIT core team for each program that is responsible for the entire program life cycle, from conception through post-launch support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the system engineering effort on a multi-year development program, working in close collaboration with the Program Manager, Program Chief Engineer, Space Vehicle and Payload IPT Leads, and program leadership.

Responsibilities

The System Engineering Manager will be responsible for:

• Technical direction, team leadership, planning, interfacing with LM senior management, subcontractors, partners and suppliers.
• Integration and coordination with all functional organizations involved in system design, integration, assembly, test and delivery.
• Helping to drive the Systems Engineering discipline for the larger RFS Demos portfolio as well as provide team management.
• Appling your technical expertise and engineering judgment to drive decision-making, act as a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.
• Effectively manage multiple tasks, take on complex problems and break them down into actionable components, and lead the team in executing these plans.
