T018 – Oracle Cloud ERP Functional Specialist – Hybrid (local DMV candidates only)

Duties and Responsibilities

• A. Understand and document current business procedures and identify areas for improvement; provide hands‑on business process requirements analysis in support of Oracle Cloud ERP and related applications.
• B. In collaboration with internal departments and external resources, plan, design and implement financial systems solutions. A thorough understanding of the current state of the organization is necessary before recommending changes related to implementing a new business solution.
• C. Under general supervision, formulate and define system scope and objectives through research.
• D. Responsible for the knowledge transfer of business requirements to the application developers.
• E. Able to make cogent arguments recommending a course of action.
• F. Scour through enormous amounts of information in the business area supported to find the salient points.
• G. Identify and address new business patterns and changes in the business process.
• H. Understand standard ideas and methods for requirements gathering and translate business needs into IT requirements and functional design specifications.
• I. Create trust between Business and IT teams.
• J. Assist in identifying and implementing various software solutions.
• K. Provide application support for business users.
• L. Write conversion, interface, reports and extension functional design specifications.
• M. Support data cleanup, data conversion and reconciliation activities.
• N. Support month‑end and year‑end activities, including reconciliation.
• O. Review design specifications developed by other analysts and provide feedback on design documents.
• P. Write white papers and solution recommendations as needed.
• Q. Support testing and conduct training.
• R. Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
• S. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and desired results.
• T. Include analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Finance, Business, Accounting or related field
• Equivalent combination of education and successful work experience (12 years)
• CPA certification preferred

6. 12+ years of experience working as an Oracle Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME)
7. 8+ years of experience providing production support for Oracle EBS/Cloud Application
