Position Summary

Permanent full‑time position based at the Montreal project office. This role is responsible for the full recruitment cycle for the ALTO high‑speed rail project.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Act as a true business‑talent acquisition partner: understand challenges, calibrate profiles, prioritize roles, and influence decisions tactfully.
  • Lead strategic planning of recruitment needs for a major infrastructure project by anticipating critical skills, defining target headcounts and timelines, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure talent availability.
  • Manage the entire recruitment cycle: defining requirements with managers, drafting job descriptions, conducting rigorous assessments, coordinating selection stages, negotiating and presenting offers, and ensuring a top‑notch candidate experience through onboarding.
  • Proactively perform multi‑channel headhunting, identifying, approaching, and building relationships with prospects via LinkedIn Recruiter, specialized networks, technical communities, and referrals.
  • Manage international mobility: verify talent availability within the group, coordinate end‑to‑end transfer to SYSTRA Canada, ensure immigration and tax compliance, optimize costs, and adhere to operational deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in human resources or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing and recruitment, preferably in the rail, construction, or engineering sectors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Strong market knowledge of railway, construction, and project management sectors; ability to identify competitors and stay abreast of recruitment trends.
  • Strong negotiation and networking skills with a hunter mindset.
  • Ability to assess candidate quality against strict requirements and provide effective feedback.
  • Strong bilingual (English & French) communication skills.
