Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Lead will be responsible for leading and executing strategic recruitment and talent attraction initiatives across Amico Affiliates’ operations. This position blends leadership, strategy, and hands‑on recruitment to ensure the organization successfully attracts, hires, and onboards top‑tier talent across functions and project teams. The role partners closely with HR leadership, hiring managers, and external partners to shape a high‑performing workforce and enhance the candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the talent acquisition function for Amico Affiliates, setting direction for sourcing, talent mapping, leadership of the team, interviewing, assessment, and offer strategy.
  • Developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies that align with company objectives, co‑op schemes, KPIs, workforce planning, and growth priorities.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and overseeing recruitment coordinators/specialists to ensure consistent execution and continuous improvement of hiring practices.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders (hiring managers, project leads, HR partners) to understand workforce needs and deliver solutions.
  • Overseeing full‑cycle recruitment: job posting, sourcing, headhunting, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation and onboarding coordination.
  • Proactively sourcing and engaging candidates for both technical and non‑technical roles using multiple channels (LinkedIn, job boards, networks, referrals).
  • Building and maintaining talent pipelines for hard‑to‑fill roles and future workforce needs.
  • Tracking recruitment metrics (time‑to‑fill, candidate quality, offer acceptance rates) to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
  • Championing a positive and professional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Representing Amico Affiliates at career events, job fairs, and university/co‑op recruitment initiatives to strengthen employer brand visibility.
  • Ensuring that recruitment processes comply with Ontario employment legislation and internal HR policies.
  • Partnering with the HR team to refine recruitment systems, internal movement tracking, onboarding processes, and talent‑related documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Post‑secondary degree (Human Resources, Business, or related).
  • Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, preferably including leadership or supervisory duties.
  • Advanced user of LinkedIn.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience with global recruitment and immigration.
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to track and use metrics to improve processes.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools (experience with Oracle is preferred).
  • Ability to function in a fast‑paced, dynamic project‑centric work environment.
