Role Description
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing, sustaining, and executing a best-in-class strategy to deliver talent across manufacturing operations and professional and support roles across the enterprise.
This critical role partners cross-functionally to ensure that manufacturing recruiting and staffing is optimized and supported by plant HR partners, while directly recruiting for skilled technical positions and professional roles at varying levels.
The Talent Acquisition Manager will leverage their experience to ensure that the Company is delivering top talent leveraging scalable structure, processes, and technological capabilities, and ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the enterprise talent acquisition strategy aligned to business priorities, workforce planning, and growth goals.
- Ensure a high‑quality onboarding experience for new hires, with a focus on continuous improvement and positive candidate experience.
- Proactively and relentlessly promote the Company’s culture, benefits, and career opportunities.
- Partner with plant managers, supervisors, and HR to understand workforce needs, production demands, and staffing priorities.
- Recruit for professional/ support roles, screen resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, and coordinate hiring manager interviews.
- Oversee full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing roles.
- Build talent pipelines through job boards, referrals, networking, trade schools, and local workforce agencies.
- Represent the company at job fairs, community events, and manufacturing or trade-school partnerships.
- Develop SLAs, metrics, and analyze data to provide actionable insights and regular reporting on TA metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, attrition, regrettable turnover, etc.).
- Identify process improvements to increase recruiting efficiency and candidate quality.
- Deploy scalable, standardized recruiting processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Provide training and coaching for hiring managers on interviewing, selection, and candidate experience best practices.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of recruiting/ talent acquisition experience, with at least 3 years in high-volume manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience recruiting hourly production and skilled trades roles.
- Experience in aluminum extrusion, metals, or heavy manufacturing is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Expertise in recruiting best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with safety-sensitive and shift-based hiring.
- Experienced in developing foundational talent acquisition processes and workflows, identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Strong proficiency with ATS platforms and HRIS systems
- Excellent communication and consultative skills.
- Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of union and non-union environments.
- Able to pivot between office and manufacturing floor environments to support effective hiring practices.
- Able to travel to other facilities, job fairs, or recruiting events.
