Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist sets up and functionally leads the talent acquisition delivery team for an assigned business area, independently executes complex recruitment processes, and drives continuous operational improvements. This role partners closely with HR business partners and business leaders to translate the people strategy and labor market insights into effective recruitment plans and daily priorities. The specialist interprets and presents internal and external data to guide well-informed decisions, while mentoring a small team of functional experts and ensuring a high-quality candidate experience throughout the full recruitment lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Set up and functionally lead the talent acquisition delivery team for the assigned business area, ensuring effective and efficient recruitment operations.
- Independently execute complex end-to-end recruitment processes, from sourcing and screening to selection and offer management.
- Partner with HR business partners and business stakeholders to support the People Plan and translate HR strategy into concrete recruitment plans and priorities.
- Provide labor market knowledge and insights to advise the business on suitable talent solutions and recruitment approaches.
- Transfer knowledge and translate business context into practical recruitment strategies and daily operational activities.
- Interpret and report on internal and external data to support stakeholders in making well-informed talent decisions.
- Consolidate and present various data insights in a clear and structured way, and propose solutions and improved ways of working.
- Develop, contribute to, and help set up the annual recruitment plan for the assigned business area.
- Ensure a strong candidate experience throughout the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding support.
- Use talent acquisition tools and applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage candidates and recruitment processes effectively.
- Mentor and guide a small team of functional experts, providing knowledge sharing on talent acquisition processes, standards, and best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to new and junior colleagues on talent acquisition methods, technical tools, and processes.
- Collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders on recruitment strategies, process improvements, and talent decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment methods, techniques, and processes, and contribute to the development of new approaches.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting related to recruitment activities, candidate pipelines, and hiring outcomes.
- Partner with hiring teams to understand role requirements and align sourcing strategies with business needs.
- Support employee experience by ensuring smooth handover from hiring to onboarding.
Essential Skills
- Extensive professional knowledge of talent acquisition built on a deep understanding of theoretical concepts and principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge across more than one area.
- Proven experience in recruiting and talent acquisition, including full cycle recruiting and hiring.
- Strong expertise in selection and offer processes, including evaluating candidates and managing offer stages.
- Demonstrated ability to provide labor market insights and translate them into effective recruitment strategies.
- Thorough understanding of talent acquisition tools, methods, techniques, and processes.
- Hands-on experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment technologies.
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and report on internal and external data to support decision-making.
- Experience mentoring and guiding new or junior colleagues in talent acquisition methods, tools, and processes.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders on recruitment plans and priorities.
- Strong skills in sourcing and screening candidates for a variety of roles.
- Ability to design and execute an annual recruitment plan.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting, analysis, and communication.
- Strong focus on candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in technical recruiting, ideally supporting engineering or technology-focused roles.
- Experience in human resources or a related field.
- Experience with onboarding processes and supporting new hires during their transition into the organization.
- Ability to develop and improve recruitment methods, techniques, and processes based on practical experience and theoretical understanding.
- Experience contributing to employee experience initiatives through effective hiring practices.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-tech industry such as semiconductors.
- Ability to consolidate and present complex data insights in a clear and actionable format for stakeholders.
Work Environment
This role is based on-site in Connecticut on a 6-month contract, with the potential to build a long-term career in a high-tech, semiconductor-focused environment. You work closely with HR business partners, business leaders, and a small team of talent acquisition specialists in a professional, collaborative setting that values data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. This is a Contract position based out of Wilton, CT.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
