The Role
We're looking for a full-time Talent & Product Lead to own the candidate side of our product. This means two things: growing our talent pool and making sure the candidates who join it genuinely love using Xpreso. You'll sit at the intersection of talent operations, product thinking, and community building. You won't just recruit candidates into the platform — you'll shape how they experience it, listen to what's working and what isn't, and work closely with the founding team to translate that into product improvements. This is a foundational role. The person who does it well will have a direct and visible impact on Xpreso's success.
What You'll Own
Talent pool growth
- Build and execute acquisition strategies to grow a large, engaged base of candidates across European tech markets, with a focus on DACH
- Develop mechanics that make candidates want to bring others along and interact with the product over a long period of time
- Identify and activate acquisition channels (LinkedIn, communities, events, warm networks, partnerships) that reach the right tech talent
Candidate experience & engagement
- Ensure candidates are onboarded well, understand what Xpreso does for them, and keep coming back
- Monitor engagement signals and proactively re-engage candidates before they go cold
- Design and run lightweight feedback loops — surveys, interviews, usage signals — to understand where the product is working and where it isn't
- Develop and manage outreach cadences that feel genuinely useful, not spammy
Product input
- Work directly with the founding team to inform roadmap decisions on the candidate side
- Track and report on candidate satisfaction metrics (usability, usefulness, NPS or equivalent)
What Success Looks Like
At 3 months: A measurable increase in active candidates in the platform, a clear picture of what drives engagement and what causes drop-off, and at least one feedback-driven product improvement shipped. At 6 months: A repeatable acquisition engine, a candidate satisfaction score we're proud of, and a community with organic momentum.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves
- Experience in talent, recruiting, or candidate-facing roles — you understand what candidates actually care about. Alternatively, solid experience in B2C product or marketing roles.
- Strong instincts for product: you can spot friction, articulate it clearly, and think about solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; German is a strong plus for the DACH market
- Comfort working autonomously in an early-stage environment — you set your own priorities and move without being managed
- Data-literate and data-forward: you enjoy getting your hands dirty with new technology yourself. You are comfortable working with data, tracking what matters, spotting patterns, and using evidence to make decisions
- Based in Berlin or willing to relocate
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience at a startup or marketplace where you had to build a supply side from scratch
- Familiarity with AI recruiting tools or voice-first products
- Network within the DACH tech talent market
What This Is Not
This is not a sourcing role. You won't be headhunting individual candidates for individual roles. Your job is to build the pool and the experience, not to fill requisitions.
Compensation
€80-130k gross per year depending on experience, plus significant equity participation.
