What you’ll do:

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair activities of the property
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime
• Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential issues and take appropriate measures to address them
• Manage the procurement of necessary equipment, tools, and supplies
• Train and coach, the maintenance team to ensure high performance and productivity
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to guests
• Stay updated on relevant industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our engineering operations

The essentials:

• High School Diploma
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment
• Strong knowledge of building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
• Experience managing a team
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information
