A multi-national organisation who founded its South African feet in the early 1990s is recruiting for a detailed-orientated and self-motivated individual to join the South African finance team. The role will be based at the Head Office in the Northriding (Randburg) area but offers a hybrid working model. This position reports into the Head of Finance and Reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of tax accounting work papers for external audit and statutory reporting on a half yearly basis including liaising with the Global Tax team and external auditors for queries.
  • Preparing tax reporting for Annual Financial Statements.
  • Working with the Global Tax team on tax effect matters.
  • Ensuring that all true up entries are completed once tax returns are finalised.
  • Assistance to the internal audit team on tax related issues.
  • Preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns the group of companies.
  • Provide assistance to Payroll team in relation to taxation of employment taxes.
  • Ensuring all VAT returns are prepared filed in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that Dividends, Royalty and Interest Withholding tax returns are prepared and filed in a timely manner.
  • Tax risk management
  • Tax consulting and advisory

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting plus post graduate degree in tax
  • 5-7 years corporate tax experience
  • Min 2 years corporate tax experience within a commercial organisation

Compensation

CTC Bracket: R750k - R850k per annum (negotiable depending on qualification and experience)
