Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong foundation in core accounting principles and technical accounting. This role is ideal for someone who goes beyond basic A/P and A/R functions and has experience supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP
• Manage accruals, prepaid expenses, and revenue-related accounting entries
• Support technical accounting matters including revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or areas for process improvement
• Assist with audits, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and accounting treatment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to technical accounting concepts
• Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial reporting
• Experience with revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting preferred
• Public accounting or Big 4 experience is a plus
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems preferred
