Come Work With Us!
Are you the kind of person who looks at a complex landscape of legacy systems and siloed data and sees a golden opportunity to build something better? We are looking for a Technical Architect who is energized by the challenge of turning technical complexity into streamlined, modern ecosystems. You are a rare hybrid: a broad-spectrum thinker who can design a cohesive vision across the entire organization—partnering with business units to bridge gaps—while staying deeply rooted in the technology. You don’t just hand off blueprints; you enjoy having your hands on the code, mentoring our technology team, and providing the architectural "North Star" for our full-stack .NET and Angular environment.
By championing A.I. modernization and integrating our core business systems, you will ensure our data flows seamlessly and our tech stack scales effortlessly. You aren't just building software; you are architecting the competitive edge that will keep our organization around for the NEXT 50 years!
If you’re ready to be the bridge between business goals and technical excellence, we want to hear from you.
PLEASE NOTE:
This role is largely remote, with in-person attendance only required for strategic or social purposes - approximately once a quarter.
The Employment Contract
This is a focused, one-year term employment contract designed for a transformative leader to modernize our core infrastructure and bridge our business systems. This role offers the opportunity to own the end-to-end execution of our A.I. rollout and systems integration, leaving a lasting legacy on how our organization operates. There is potential for contract extension, should circumstances allow. Note that you will have access to all of our offered employee benefits including but not limited to: Paid vacation time, health benefits, and an opportunity to contribute to our defined contribution pension plan (with a company match component).
The Key Responsibilities of this Role Are
- Assess the current application architecture and recommend changes to improve scalability, maintainability, and alignment with business goals.
- Design and implement integrations between core business systems, including CRM, the main application platform, and business intelligence reporting tools, ensuring data flows reliably across the organization.
- Provide architectural direction across the full stack including front-end, back-end, database, and cloud infrastructure.
- Guide the incremental modernization of legacy systems (.NET Core microservices, Angular, MS SQL Server) with a phased, business-outcome-driven approach.
- Assess the current environment footprint and recommend opportunities to optimize cost, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and rollout of AI tools and capabilities across the development team and broader organization, including defining use cases, selecting solutions, and driving adoption.
- Engage directly with business stakeholders across sales, marketing, and operations to gather requirements, define scope, and translate business needs into actionable technical solutions or detailed specifications for the development team.
- Contribute to establishing a technology roadmap with measurable checkpoints and realistic timelines.
- Mentor development and DevOps teams, building internal competency in architecture best practices, integration patterns, and AI tooling.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews, establishing standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience, including 3+ years in a software architecture or technical leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience integrating business systems such as CRM platforms, core applications, and BI/reporting tools, with a strong understanding of API design, data pipelines, and event-driven architectures.
- Proven experience with AWS cloud-native architecture including managed services, auto-scaling, and cost optimization; cloud migration experience is an asset.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Working knowledge of .NET Core, Angular, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies.
- Experience evaluating and evolving existing architectures to better fit team capacity and business objectives.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with small-to-mid-sized development teams (5-15 engineers) where delivering business value is prioritized over architectural ideals.
- Ability to translate technical decisions into business language for senior leadership.
- Hands-on experience implementing or integrating AI/ML tools, including LLMs and AI-assisted developer workflows, with the ability to evaluate options and drive organization-wide adoption.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
