Technical Business Analyst

This is an 8-month contract role with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for business analysis and writing technical requirements for identify access management, e-commerce and system web services/api projects and enhancements
• Lead requirements elaboration and clarification with end users
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders that result in a clear identification of business needs
• Liaises with solution architects and IT to support the design of technology solutions and applications
• Experience taking complex requirements and breaking down the requirements into epics and user stories
• Work with other BA’s, PM’s, cross functional leads and business stakeholders to identify risks and issues and escalate to management where necessary
• Manage and communicate effectively with the team of both internal and external business partners
• Working with business owners and delivery team to clarify requirement questions in order to estimate stories
• Work with Product owners to manage and maintain the project backlog
• Write and prioritize test cases
• Organize, facilitate, and run standup, iteration planning, and other Agile-related meetings when required
• Work with project managers to ensure delivery commitments are appropriate and met through story selection, task definition, and prioritization

Qualifications

• 5+ years writing requirements for Web/Java development, api services or e-commerce platform project a must
• SQL skills; able to query SQL database
• Experience automating ETL and data management tasks
• 2+ years of working with Agile teams
• Prior experience documenting as-is and to-be business processes
• Ability to work with IT to translate business requirements into test plans and identify test teams
• Identify improvements based on current performance and gap

Education & Experience

• BS Degree or equivalent required in Computer Science or relevant industry experience
• Experience with integration projects across systems, business partners, clients and vendors
• Experience working with globally distributed teams
• Experience with SAP Hybris, Hana database and/or data lake or data warehouse exp a plus
• Experience with email service provider systems like Adobe Campaign also a plus
