About the role

About Trigger.dev

Trigger.dev is the platform for running reliable AI agents and workflows. Developers use it to build, deploy, and scale production systems with built-in tools for orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and debugging. Our Cloud product is a managed service where we deploy users' code and auto-scale from zero to millions of executions. We serve thousands of teams building AI apps and agents, handling hundreds of millions of executions per month.

About the Position

We're looking for a Technical Content Engineer to help us become top-of-mind for developers building AI agents. This hybrid role requires someone who builds with code and writes for an audience, treating content as a craft shipped with the same rigor as production code. You'll own technical content end to end: strategy, production, distribution, and measurement. You'll build with our product, ship alongside engineering, and create blog posts, videos, demos, and tweet threads that the AI agent community wants to read. You'll also work directly with our founders to shape and produce content under their names. This is a senior IC role and the first dedicated content hire.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Producing technical content including blog posts, tutorials, videos, tweet threads, and demo apps.
  • Owning content strategy: deciding topics, channels, success metrics, and publishing frequency.
  • Building with the product using TypeScript to create sample apps, integrations, and reference implementations.
  • Supporting founder content through collaboration, editing, and ghost-writing.
  • Measuring and iterating content performance with conversion tracking and A/B testing.
  • Understanding the developer and AI agent audience sensibility.
  • Shaping the company story, voice, and messaging.

Requirements

  • Strong TypeScript skills capable of shipping real applications.
  • Proven track record of external technical content with public examples.
  • Fluency with the current AI tooling landscape and understanding of Trigger.dev.
  • Strategic instincts alongside production skills.
  • Strong written communication and high emotional intelligence.

About the Team

  • Small team with flat hierarchy.
  • Encourages continuous learning and personal development.
  • Autonomous work culture with support when needed.
  • Customer and open-source community focused.
  • Fast-paced startup environment valuing time off to recharge.
  • Active community involvement on Discord and GitHub.

Salary

We use PostHog's salary calculator to benchmark fair and transparent compensation, varying by location and experience.

Benefits

  • Generous, transparent compensation and equity.
  • Async working for focused productivity.
  • Home office equipment support.
  • Generous vacation including 25 days plus sick and parental leave.
  • Annual training budget.
  • Pension and 401k contributions.

Our Values

  • Proud to be open source and encourage community contributions.
  • Ship uncomfortably fast with pragmatic, iterative development.
  • Work autonomously with team-driven prioritization.

Interview Process

  1. Application review including content examples.
  2. Screening call about background and content experience.
  3. Hiring manager call on work and content strategy.
  4. Paid task day creating real content or strategy artifact.
  5. Final interview with wider team for culture fit.
  6. References and offer.

If this sounds like your dream job, we look forward to hearing from you. If unsure about fit, please get in touch anyway!
