Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical function within the business
• Review designs, drawings, reports, and other deliverables for technical accuracy, quality, and compliance
• Provide professional sign-off where required and within scope of competence
• Manage and support the current team and future technical staff as the company grows
• Oversee workflow, technical standards, and quality control processes
• Mentor and develop junior staff
• Assist in improving systems, procedures, and internal technical governance
• Support project delivery by identifying risks, resolving technical issues, and maintaining standards

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• ECSA registration as Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in civil engineering design, review, and project delivery
• Experience in consulting engineering
• Ability to take responsibility for technical review and approval within own professional competence
• Experience reviewing technical documents, drawings, calculations, and reports
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, compliance, and technical standards
• Team leadership or staff management ability
• Good communication skills and professional judgement
• Ability to operate effectively in a growing business environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing junior staff and coordinating technical outputs
• Practical understanding of construction and implementation
• Ability to contribute to the development of systems, standards, and business growth
