As Technical Manager Software for locomotive control, you oversee software development within customer-neutral product programs for rail vehicles. You will lead engineering teams, ensuring timely, quality-compliant software aligned with hardware and platform requirements. The role focuses on coordinating European work packages, roadmap planning, and ensuring cross-functional collaboration with engineering, certification, and project management. You will shape technical requirements and guide teams to deliver reliable locomotive control software at scale. Responsibilities
- Technical bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or industrial engineering
- Extensive experience in rail vehicle software and project management
- Certification as a project manager
- Experience with Polarion, SAP, and Office365 tools (including Copilot/AI)
- Understanding of IEC 50128, 50126, 50129 standards and locomotive control domains
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a matrix organization
- Team leadership and mentoring abilities
