About
Johnson & Johnson Medical GmbH is recruiting for a Technical Manager - Sterilisation (m/f/d), located in Norderstedt, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee site sterilization equipment and technical process within the production operations of a medical device company
- Manage maintenance and servicing of sterilization equipment at the production site
- Develop and implement the technology roadmap for the sterilization department
- Ensure technical production requirements are met and drive continuous improvements for a flexible and efficient operation
- Responsibility for a diverse technical team including project engineers, process experts, and equipment technicians
- Conduct and monitor validations, qualifications, and risk assessments in sterilization
- Plan, schedule, execute and sponsor projects while adhering to all standards and compliance requirements, with appropriate staffing and within budget
- Actively support the site vision and strategy, with a focus on sterilization
- Monitor and control departmental budget and approve expenditures within defined limits
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Production to achieve site goals
- Effectively manage team members to achieve desired results
- Prepare and implement development programs for staff
- Role-model company values according to our Credo and promote Credo-driven behavior
- Create and/or approve procedures, specifications, guidelines, and other official documents
- Ensure compliance with legal, company, and internal regulations
- Guarantee adherence to all product quality-related safety and environmental regulations, as well as company guidelines on good housekeeping and ergonomics
Qualifications
- Degree in process engineering, bioengineering, medical technology, food technology, or similar qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical device sterilization or in managing of complex process / chemical engineering equipment
- Proven experience in professional leadership and development of employees
- Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., ISO 13485, MDR, TRGS 513)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma) and sound professional judgment to solve complex technical challenges
- Understanding of business management principles
- High self-motivation
- Experienced in managing shifting priorities and working under pressure
- Fluency in both English and German is required
Classification
This position is assigned to the non-tariff area, depending on previous experience. The anticipated base pay range for this position is 78.300 EUR to 135.700 EUR.
