About

As the Product Lead, you will act as the central point of accountability for a defined product portfolio. You will work within an interdisciplinary squad to ensure a holistic, end‑to‑end view of all product‑related activities. This role offers broad exposure across Suppliers, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, System Development, and Business Management, providing continuous learning, development, and leadership opportunities.

You will leverage strong communication, analytical, and strategic skills to visualize complex interdependencies, support fact‑based decision‑making, and foster a collaborative team environment rooted in our client’s values and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Lifecycle Management

  • Full accountability for assigned products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ownership of product and production process specifications.
  • Accountability for product changes, deviations, complaints, and associated risk management.
  • Ensures availability and lifecycle management of spare parts.
  • Maintains and updates all relevant product documentation.

Operational Leadership

  • Accountable for squad performance regarding quality, supply, compliance, and cost.
  • Leads the squad, providing direction, clear prioritization, and strategic alignment.
  • Acts as the final decision-maker within the squad (e.g., prioritization topics).
  • Provides constructive feedback to Chapter Leads on squad performance.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Chairs product meetings with suppliers and sub-suppliers at an operational level.
  • Manages internal and external stakeholders at squad level.
  • Monitors supplier safety stock and hub stock against defined targets.
  • Understands supplier contracts and ensures compliance with obligations.

Capacity, Cost & Budget Management

  • Develops and implements product-wide production capacity plans and output reporting.
  • Owns squad budget planning including OPEX/CAPEX, development budgets, and PCQT budgets.
  • Manages product-related cost accounts, including identifying potential savings.
  • Plans replacements, new investments, and builds supporting business cases.

Risk & Compliance

  • Executes operational risk management for assigned products.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory, quality, and internal standards.
  • Drives mitigations and follow‑up actions stemming from audits, risks, or lifecycle reviews.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Natural Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IVD product management and/or production engineering.
  • Strong strategic and systems-thinking mindset; openness to innovation and change.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a proven track record of execution, consensus-building, and conflict management.
  • Highly self‑driven, structured, and solution-oriented—balancing short-term mitigation with long-term strategy.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Executive presence with resilience under pressure and ability to make clear, decisive judgments.
