About the role

About Working at envelio

Too easy is boring! Together we have the mission to drive the energy transition. We love what we do and no topic is too big for us. We take responsibility for our work and grow with every new task. In short: Own it, love it, grow with it.

We are a down-to-earth team of coffee and mate lovers. Our geek humor results in a ritualistic use of emojis and the encyclopedic exploration of useless knowledge. More than 150 envelians from over 20 different nationalities are already on board. Join us and grow with us!

Your Role

As a Technical Project Manager (all genders), you are part of our Customer Implementation Team, which is responsible for the entire process of implementing new customers. Implementation involves coordinating external and internal stakeholders as well as the technical setup of the Intelligent Grid Platform and successful data integration. In your role, you combine project management with technical implementation, ensuring that users can unlock the full potential of the software.

How You Make an Impact

  • You are responsible for the independent management of our implementation projects with distribution system operators and utility companies – with a focus on time, quality, and scope.
  • You exchange information with customers about the data requirements of the Intelligent Grid Platform and coordinate the involved stakeholders (e.g., customer, sales, data integration, customer engagement, engineering).
  • Based on customer data from diverse source systems (e.g., GIS, ERP, asset management, grid simulation), you create concepts for data integration and conduct detailed analyses.
  • You ensure the quality assurance and validation of the grid models in the Intelligent Grid Platform.
  • You take over documentation and reporting within the scope of your projects.
  • Based on customer feedback, you support the strategic development of our products.

Your Profile

Perfection is a myth! We are much more interested in the person behind the screen. These criteria are therefore more of a guide for you. We are excited to see how your individual skills fit with us.

  • You have completed your studies in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, energy technology/renewable energies, or a comparable degree program.
  • You have knowledge of energy distribution systems and power grids.
  • You have experience in managing IT projects.
  • You have experience in grid modeling in power flow calculations and/or geographic information systems (GIS).
  • You have at least a basic understanding of ETL processes or data integration processes.
  • You have initial Python and SQL (preferably Postgres) skills.
  • You enjoy working in a team and are motivated to work in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Your working style is also characterized by a structured and results-oriented mindset.
  • You have good communication skills and can motivate and involve your team.
  • You speak fluent English and German.

Your Benefits

  • Adapt the work mode to your lifestyle – fully remote or hybrid with office option.
  • Option for mobile working from abroad (up to three months per year from anywhere in the EU or the USA).
  • 30 vacation days + 3 corporate holidays.
  • Support your health with the Urban Sports Club cooperation.
  • Flexible use of a monthly mobility budget (e.g., Jobrad, public transport).
  • Time and budget for individual growth.
  • Optional company pension plan.
  • Professional support for your mental well-being through our partner nilo – for you and your family.
  • Regular Tech and Growth Talks for internal knowledge exchange.
  • Regular Company and Team Events.

About Us

As a remote-first company, we let you decide how much you want to work remotely – from 0% to 100%. Whether you live in Cologne or Aachen, Bonn or Berlin, Munich or Castrop-Rauxel; the main thing is that you have internet! You can also work from abroad for up to three months a year.
