What you can achieve

• You lead technical development projects in the area of secure communication (military / government).
• You work hands-on on the conception, development, and validation of scalable network solutions.
• You take on technical leadership in the team and set the direction – pragmatic, well-founded, and solution-oriented.
• You develop viable architectures and technical concepts together with system engineering.
• You turn complex architectural decisions into clear, actionable requirements.
• You bring structure to backlogs, prioritize sensibly, and ensure transparency.
• You recognize potential, think ahead about systems, and actively drive innovation.

What you bring

• Deep know-how in network technology – ideally with CISCO experience.
• Experience with modern development approaches (Agile, Scrum, DevOps) and tools like GitLab, Git, or Jenkins.
• A broad technical foundation and practical experience in: Software development (Linux, C, C++, Client-Server), Network technology (Routing, VPN, IPv6).
• A completed degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics.
• Experience in Requirements Engineering.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
• Very good communication skills to convey complex issues understandably, structured, and target-group-oriented.

About the Division

We provide secure and interoperable communication solutions for the army and national and international security agencies and are responsible for the integration, operation, and maintenance of security-relevant information, communication, and command systems. This position is part of the project to replace the army's existing Integrated Military Telecommunications System (IMFS).
