Technical Project Manager with Data Engineering

Introduction:

The Technical Project Manager with Data Engineering will play a crucial role in leading medium to large-scale data migration and data platform modernization initiatives. This individual will be responsible for driving project planning, execution, and governance across global teams, ensuring alignment with engineering, infrastructure, and architecture teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale data migration and data platform modernization initiatives.
• Drive project planning, execution, and governance across onshore and offshore teams.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, migration roadmaps, sprint backlogs, and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and architecture teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Proactively identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and design gaps, and define mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate informed decision-making by leveraging strong technical depth and understanding of underlying platforms.
• Ensure adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.

Requirements:

• Experience working with modern data platforms and cloud-based data ecosystems.
• Strong technical background combined with hands-on project management experience in data migrations or modernization.
• Prior exposure to data modernization or transformation programs.
• Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams.
• Strong background in data engineering, infrastructure management, or data architecture.
