About the Role

The Technical Recruiter will manage full life-cycle recruitment for IT positions, guiding candidates through every stage of the hiring process while partnering closely with hiring managers and internal teams. This role focuses on engaging both current member talent and newly skilled candidates, advising them on career paths, skills development, and resume optimization. The recruiter will help shape and execute recruitment strategies, maintain accurate data in the applicant tracking system, and contribute to broader HR and talent initiatives that support an inclusive, mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full life-cycle recruitment for IT roles, from intake and sourcing through offer acceptance and onboarding support.
  • Focus on recruiting from the existing member base and recently skilled talent, ensuring strong alignment between candidate capabilities and open positions.
  • Advise members and candidates on career pathing, upskilling opportunities, and resume development to enhance their marketability.
  • Meet with Account Managers and hiring managers to fully understand open roles, qualify requisitions, and clarify required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Consult with hiring managers on internal recruiting processes, feasibility of hiring for specific profiles, and potential opportunities or challenges in the talent market.
  • Collaborate with managers and team members to design and implement effective recruitment strategies for IT positions.
  • Ensure hiring practices align with company policies, philosophy, and a strong commitment to diversity and equality.
  • Proactively network in targeted markets to build and maintain strong relationships across industries and talent communities.
  • Partner with hiring managers to secure necessary approvals from leadership and extend offers to selected candidates.
  • Ensure all applicants, candidate data, and recruitment processes are accurately entered, maintained, and tracked in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Assist with department and companywide projects such as employee surveys, department audits, diversity initiatives, job enrichment and education programs, and research or metrics projects.
  • Develop, track, and maintain recruiting metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all recruitment practices comply with HR regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Provide responsive, high-quality customer service to candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders throughout the hiring process.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2+ years of proven IT recruiting experience, preferably within an employment or search firm environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in full life-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and the ability to maintain accurate, organized candidate records.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools for communication, documentation, and reporting.
  • Strong technical recruiting skills, with the ability to understand and discuss IT roles and requirements.
  • Talent acquisition expertise, including sourcing strategies, pipeline development, and candidate engagement.
  • Ability to build strong rapport and trusted relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Customer service mindset with a focus on delivering a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Ability to ensure recruiting practices adhere to HR regulatory compliance and internal policies.

Work Environment

This position operates in a 100% remote work environment, providing flexibility to work from a home office or other suitable remote location. The role requires working East Coast hours, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Collaboration occurs virtually through digital communication tools, ATS platforms, and standard MS Office applications. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $32.00/hr.
