About the role

WORLD-CLASS DESIGN. MODERN MANUFACTURING

Technical Sales and Marketing Developer

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM $20.00–$30.00/hour (based on experience)

At RMD, our purpose is simple: Drive change to make the world better.

We are moving from a traditional job shop to a production-focused powerhouse. To tell our story, we need more than a marketer; we need a technical storyteller who understands our machines because they know how to run them.

Who We Are

RMD is a Saskatchewan-owned, fully integrated engineering and manufacturing firm. Our facility houses high-end CNC technology entering commercialization. We don’t just make parts—we scale innovation.

Our values guide everything we do:

RUTID • Respect – WE treat people right • Unity – WE win as a team • Trust – WE do what we say • Integrity – WE do the right thing • Drive - WE push forward

We expect every team member to contribute not only technical expertise, but also the values that define how we work together.

Responsibilities

As the Technical Sales & Marketing Developer, you are the bridge between equipment production and the user's story. You will not just be "promoting" machines; you will be trained to operate them—becoming technically competent on CNC machines, hotwires, and automated steel rolling machines. This hands-on experience will be the foundation of your marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Marketing Development

    • Digital Infrastructure: Lead the modernization and maintenance of our website and digital storefront, ensuring it is optimized for technical SEO and high-conversion lead generation.
    • Social Media Management: Plan and execute a consistent cadence for LinkedIn and YouTube, sharing engineering insights, machine demos, and technical thought leadership.
    • Print & Digital Media: Design and produce high-fidelity print materials (brochures, technical guides) and professional demonstration videos that showcase the "Pivot" line's capabilities.
  2. Technical Advocacy & Sales

    • Machine Operation: Undergo internal training to become proficient in operating our automated production suite to understand the "user experience" firsthand.
    • Sales Enablement: Support high-level business development and the negotiation of multi-year procurement contracts.
    • Lead Generation: Identify and target key players in the Canadian prefabricated construction industry to aggressively grow our sales pipeline.
  3. Tradeshow & Event Excellence

    • Booth & Display Planning: Design and execute on high-impact tradeshow booths and physical displays that effectively communicate RMD's world-class precision.
    • Attendance Coordination: Manage the formalized calendar for Western Canadian industrial tradeshows, including your own attendance at these shows.
    • Live Demonstrations: Lead live, technical demonstrations of integrated equipment, answering complex customer questions with authority.

What You Bring

Experience & Education

  • Education: Degree in Technical Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 2+ years in professional marketing roles or a proven portfolio of media production (video/digital/print) that proves you can tell a complex story.

Technical Skills

  • Digital Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems and digital analytics tools to track conversion and lead generation.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex engineering concepts into high-impact marketing materials and technical guides.

Additional Assets

A genuine excitement for learning how to operate heavy industrial equipment. Experience with manufacturing equipment or industrial machines

You’ll Thrive Here If You

  • Take ownership and pride in your work
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Can bridge the gap between equipment production and storytelling
  • Adapt as equipment, processes, and systems evolve
  • Value teamwork, accountability, and high standards

Safety Is Our #1 Priority

You will receive proper training before undertaking any task, have access to required PPE, and always have the right to refuse unsafe work.

We strictly follow health, safety, and quality standards to ensure everyone goes home safe.
