Insight Global is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for our client in the industrial manufacturing industry. This individual will serve as a trusted technical advisor, working directly with transformer OEMs to deliver high-performance insulation solutions using advanced Diamond Dot Paper coating technology. The role blends hands-on engineering expertise with consultative sales, offering the opportunity to influence product innovation, support manufacturing excellence, and drive revenue through technically sound, customer-focused solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science
• 3–5+ years of experience in technical sales or application engineering
• Direct experience within the power transformer/electrical insulation industry or experience within the paper industry.
• Strong customer-facing, consultative communication skills

Day to Day

• Partner with transformer OEM engineering teams to specify insulation solutions
• Recommend coating patterns and thicknesses to optimize thermal and mechanical performance
• Support customer trials, troubleshooting, and ongoing commercial use
• Develop and present technical and commercial proposals
• Educate customers and internal sales teams through technical presentations
