Safic‑Alcan Deutschland GmbH is an established, medium-sized company focused on distribution and technical consulting in the chemical industry, particularly in the areas of Cosmetics and Personal Care. We combine technical expertise with market understanding and stand for long-term, partnership-based customer and supplier relationships.

To strengthen our Cosmetics sales team, we are looking for a Technical Sales & Product Manager (m/f/d) for Germany. In this key role, you will combine technical sales, product management, and the strategic further development of the portfolio.

You will report directly to the Head of Sales Cosmetics DACH and make a decisive contribution to further growth in Germany in a dynamic, international environment.

Aufgaben

  • You are responsible for the development of sales, volume, and margins in your sales territory and actively work on expanding existing customer relationships and acquiring new customers.
  • Your strength lies in supporting customer projects from initial contact to successful commercialization, and in providing technical advice on raw materials, formulations, and applications in sales.
  • You are the central point of contact for suppliers and principals and coordinate product-related activities, including the introduction of new products and technical updates.
  • You use your strategic skills to continuously develop the product and supplier portfolio, while working closely with the Customer Service, Regulatory, Purchasing, and Marketing teams.
  • You conduct competitive analyses and derive relevant market and competitive information.
  • You independently plan and conduct customer appointments, supplier visits, and training sessions.
  • Trade fair appearances are prepared, planned, and implemented together with Marketing, where you actively contribute your technical and market-related expertise.

Profil

  • Your high customer orientation, negotiation skills, and closing strength make you successful.
  • You recognize business potential, strategically use your network in the DACH personal care industry, and successfully implement opportunities.
  • You have at least five years of professional experience in technical sales or product management of raw materials.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proceed in a structured manner.
  • You are characterized by initiative, results orientation, strong communication skills, and teamwork.
  • You are willing to travel and possess a driver's license class B.
  • You have completed a degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Sciences, or a comparable natural science or commercial vocational training with a technical or commercial focus.
  • You have excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
