MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including full diagram schematics, manuals, and operational procedures to ensure consistency in standards and clarity of processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to support project management, workflows, and compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts, to gather and organize technical information.
- Ensure all documentation complies with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current systems or requirements.
- Maintain records of revisions, version control, and documentation repositories to ensure accessibility and traceability.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or related field. Experience may be substituted for education.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology‑driven environment.
- Familiarity with industry‑standard writing styles or government‑specific guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly understand and translate technical information and concepts into clear documentation.
- Experience developing and maintaining POA&Ms or similar project plans.
- Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying gaps or inconsistencies in documentation.
- Familiarity with Agile or ITIL frameworks, as related to technical writing.

Salary Range
The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 – $115,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation; salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
