Job Profile
The company is searching for a Technical Writer who will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for manufacturing processes, equipment, and products.
Ensures that all technical content meets industry standards and supports production efficiency, compliance, and safety.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, or related field.
Work Experience
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and quality assurance to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.
- Conduct reviews and audits of documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Create visual aids such as diagrams, flowcharts, and illustrations to enhance understanding.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, and training materials.
- Ensure documentation complies with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Manage document control systems and maintain version integrity.
- Support continuous improvement by updating documentation to reflect process changes and new technologies.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and understandable content for various audiences.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, or specialized authoring software).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and terminology.
Preferred Skills-
- Experience with ISO standards and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Familiarity with CAD drawings and engineering schematics.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Work Environment
- Exposed to typical conditions of any manufacturing environment.
- Non-controlled environment.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Overall, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
