Our client, a respected financial institution in the Sacramento area, is looking for a detail-driven and proactive Technical Procedure Writer to support their team. This position is well-suited for someone who excels at bringing clarity to complex operations, enjoys working across teams, and takes pride in crafting clear, actionable content that empowers frontline staff.

  • Pay: $33/hour
  • Location: Sacramento - Hybrid
  • Contract: 6 months

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and updates procedural documentation by gathering input from business units, subject matter experts, and project teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with organizational needs
  • Conducts research and interviews to obtain background information, translating complex processes and technical content into accessible language for diverse audiences
  • Maintains compliance knowledge by staying current on relevant state and federal regulations, including those related to financial services, and applying updates to procedural content as needed
  • Supports communication and implementation efforts by preparing internal communications, coordinating document distribution, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on project-related updates
  • Manages content platforms and responds to inquiries by administering knowledge management systems, maintaining SharePoint pages, and addressing requests from internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum two years of experience technical/procedure writing, plus two years of financial industry experience.
  • Familiarity with financial products, operational procedures, loan and account processing platform systems.
  • Advanced writing and communication abilities, strong organizational and time management skills, customer service and reporting/analytics experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerBI.
