About the role
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced technical writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, editing and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and other technical materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other subject matter experts to gather and interpret technical information and user needs.
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including user guides, API references, FAQs, and release notes.
- Organize and present complex technical information in a clear, concise, and user-friendly format.
- Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that documentation reflects the latest product features and capabilities.
- Manage the documentation process, including version control and document distribution.
- Continuously improve documentation based on user feedback, analytics, and product updates.
- Ensure all content aligns with our style guide, tone of voice, and accessibility standards.
- Participate in the development of documentation standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of industry standards and trends.
Required Skills/Experience
- 1-2 years of technical writing experience - for junior resource and 3 - 5 years of technical writing experience - for senior resource
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in English)
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with documentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat etc.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and XML is a plus.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Should be able to converse in English and Malayalam.
